Birthday #1

Happy Birthday Makenzie Rye!!!

I will write a whole different post about our amazing event and post lots of pictures. It turned out more amazing than I thought and we couldn't have asked for more.

Today was Makenzie's actual birthday and since we will be on our way to San Diego Tuesday on Ryans birthday we combined the 2 and celebrated together.  We couldn't think of a more perfect setting than at Makenzies most favorite place - THE POOL -
Earlier in the day we brought our baby balloons, flowers, gifts and pinwheels to the cemetery then we went nuts at the pool.  We laughed, jumped, ate, spun in cirlces, jumped in tubes, dunked, dove, got wet (even if some didn't want to) threw balls, took over the whole pool, jumped off the side, laughed, danced and celebrated 2 pretty awesome people.

I wish I would have done more for Ryan. He deserves it. I have been so wrapped up in Makenzie's Live, Laugh, Breathe Event that I just didn't think about anything else. That includes school, work at times and even our trip to San Diego on Tuesday.  Luckily our awesome family put together a fun celebration.
I will post more later but the cake was donated yesterday by an amazing women and I just adore it.  So sad but it fell apart on the ride home last night. I was devastated but no worries- it still tasted great.
Ryan got some fun gifts that he will have a great time playing with. We sang to Ryan then we sang to Makenzie. We thought about her. We thought about this time last year.
Then we sent her balloons.

missing. more than i can express. knowing what last year was. seeing what today is.
hard.
i wish i could hold her.
today was full of tears, full of laughs, full of memories and full of love.

happy birthday to you,
happy birthday to you,
happy birthday to Makenzie Rye,
Happy Birthday To You!

Kenzie Day #7

Kenzie Day #7
We didn't have a Kenzie Day this month because we knew that next weekend would be full of party party party.  We played it low key because we knew our sweet family from Korea was going to be coming.  I got home from work to these girlies!!! Oh how I have missed them. Its been 2 years since I have hugged these girls.  We went to dinner and shopped a bit before heading home.

Couldn't leave the 13th day without sending our baby some loves.

oh how we miss her. more and more everyday.

sending balloons

A not so great day missing Kenzie resulted in grabbing balloons
on my way to my sisters and making my cute niece help me send them away.
