For Ryan...

A Man in Grief
(Eileen Knight Hagemeister)
To be a man in grief, Since "men don't cry" and "men are strong"No tears can bring relief.
It must be very difficult
To stand up to the test
And field calls and visitors
So she can get some rest.
They always ask if she's all right
And what she's going through,
But seldom take his hand and ask,"My friend, but how are you?"
He hears her crying in the night
And thinks his heart will break.
He dries her tears and comforts her,
But "stays strong" for her sake.
It must be very difficult
To start each day anew
And try to be so very brave--
He lost his baby too.

DON'T CRY FOR ME DADDY
Don't cry for me Daddy,
I am right here.
Although you can't see me,
I see your tears.
I visit you often,
I go to work with you each day,
And when it's time to close your eyes,
On your pillow is where I lay.
I hold your hand and stroke your hair,
And whisper in your ear.
If your sad today Daddy
Remember I am here.
God took me home,
This we know is true.
But you'll always be my Daddy,
Even though I'm not with you.
I am Daddy's little girl,
We will never be apart,
For every time you think of me,
Please know I'm in your heart.

**Thanks Emma

My heart goes out to you and your family.

There is a song that everytime I hear it I think of y'all. It's One More Day by Rocket Club.

Beautiful post. Nobody should ever go through what you and Ryan are going through. My thoughts and prayers are with you. And I'm sure Makenzie is watching you from heaven, loving you and missing you just as much as you miss her.
