for you

sure wish i could give you more than this.
i wish i could send you more than this.
winnie the pooh balloon from mom
giant white balloon from daddy

missing you so much today.
missing you so much the last few days.
daddy and i laid in bed talking about you this morning.
i forgot how much you loved to sleep head to head with me.
you would be so upset but when i would lay next to you,
put our foreheads together,
you were fine.
we would sleep.
daddy took this picture one day.

i remember you were so upset.
i laid you on the ottoman and sat next to it holding your hands and rubbing your head.
you threw your arms around until you found my hair.
pulled it until you fell asleep.
we both fell asleep.
dad thought it was funny.
i miss this life.

Those pictures are so sweet. There is nothing like a bond between a mother and her daughter (not taking anything away from ryan, because a daddy and a daughter have a pretty special bond too....it is just different). You are an amazing mother!! So selfless!! I am sure her pulling your hair didn't feel too good, but you knew it was calming her down and so you let her. How lucky for her to be blessed with such wonderful parents and I know you were lucky to have her too. I hope you are able to feel her love and I hope it is able to give you some peace these next few days. Always thinking and praying for you!! Much love!!

p.s. - that white balloon is HUGE!! i love all of the stuff you got her. so special!!

Kendra, I read your blog and my heart just breaks in two for you and Ryan. I don't know why parents have to go through this kind of pain. I don't know why one child is spared when another child isn't. I don't know a lot of things, but I do know that you both are strong and loving people. I can tell by your posts what a great mother you are. I also know that our Heavenly Father loves you and He knows your heart and feels your pain. I hope that you find some peace today, even if it's only in your dreams...

My daughters birthday is in 2 days and I will send up a pink balloon for Kenzie to tell her "hi" from us. Keep going, one foot in front of the other.
