Baby Bjorn: I didn't put Makenzie in the Bjorn until she was a month but Tracker wont let me put him down more than 30 seconds so we pulled the Bjorn out shortly after he was born. He loves it. He can get a little fussy and I just bounce around a bit and he is sound asleep. We got the Bjorn Active Carrier and wouldn't get any other one. It has a back support which makes a huge difference especially when you are moving around bending over, standing up and down. I wear this to do just about all my housework so its not like I'm just using this to walk around. I need the movement and support.
Boogie Wipes: Tracker has a clogged tear duct which he should grow out of at some point but for the time being he is always getting his eye lid stuck shut. Its so sad. When we are home I usually clean his eye out with a warm wet rag but when we are out and about I don't have that luxury. Well I saw these things and thought I would give them a try. They are for runny noses but they are suppose to help not make your skin raw. I don't like using regular wipes because they seem to irritate him but these are perfect and they smell grape great!
Gerber Socks: These socks are great. They stay on his little feet perfect. We have several different types of socks and these are the best right now. With his long skinny feet they don't look to huge but don't cut off the circulation on his legs.
Boon Grass and Lawn Drying Rack: I thought this was kind of weird at first but oh how I have fallen in love. It holds bottle parts great especially with the flower/tree accessories you can buy but they are amazing for those who are nursing and pumping with all the little parts that don't fit on other drying racks.
Adan + Anais Swaddling Blankets: These are all the rave and everyone who has used them insists they are a must and I couldn't agree more. We have several of their muslin swaddlers as well as these bamboo ones. The bamboo ones are incredibly soft. These blankets are big and light weight. They are breathable so they don't over heat the baby but they also can keep them warm by folding them up a bit. I use these as both his blanket and his burp rag. We start with a new one everyday. I have tried to cut down on all the extra things I'm carrying around with me during the day so having this 2 in 1 thing works great for us.
Carters Onsies: Another one of those things everyone raves about and I couldn't agree more. These stripe onsies are my favorite. I stocked up and bought them in every size. I love these onsies because they hold up so well wash after wash. I have a couple other brands and I swear they are already falling apart and the fabric isn't very soft after a few washes.
Glamourmom Nursing Bra Long Tank: I think I swear by nursing tanks more than nursing bras. I love them. I have to wear them. BUT I am picky which one. Most nursing bras I have found are super short. I feel like I'm wearing a belly shirt- gross- so when I found these long tanks I couldn't get my hands on them fast enough. They really are not that long. They are regular to me but they fit great. They also have a breathable top so when you happen to leak (even in your pad) it doesn't trap all the moisture.
Colic Calm: My saving grace. We have already gone through a bottle. Its amazing and has made a world of difference with Tracker. He is extremely gassy and colicky and this has helped calm his belly. When he is extra irritable I give him a dose every 30 minutes for 2 hours then go back to giving it to him every other feeding. I can tell right away he feels better and he then starts farting every other second instead of every minute. Its expensive compared to regular gas drops or gripe water that you can find in the grocery store but we tried every one of those and they didn't make a difference.

Hey Kendra I just wanted to give a quick little bit of advice, my son was also born with a clogged tear duct and for months we battled it with wipes and ointments. and then i started using breastmilk in his eye, and it went away like NOTHING!
We don't know each other, but I've been reading your blog for a while. Our first baby is due here in a little over 4 weeks, and this post was super helpful! Just wanted to say thank you!
I second the breastmilk in the eye comment! Sounds crazy, but worth a try! we had clogged tearducts over here too!
How do you give the colic calm without getting the black stuff all over his clothes? Do you stick it straight in his bottle? Thanks!
I too love my bjorn carrier, aden & anais swaddling blankets, carters onesies and gerber socks!! This post is a great idea!!
We dont know each other- but with my baby (WAY COLICKY and there were days I wanted to give up being a mom) and someone saved me and told me to rub essential oils on his feet and belly- I used Lavender and an oil called Digestzen on his belly- within 24 hours he was a COMPLETELY different baby and life was wonderful!! The oils are DoTerra brand and you can get on their website to purchase- I promise its a saving grace!! Good luck!
