I have been looking through my past post's and realized all I have posted is pictures of Makenzie. Okay okay, i know that's all anyone wants to see but since this is my online journal I guess I should write about a little more.
Since Kenzie has come into our lives we have been different people. Busy learning and experimenting with parenthood. She is perfect tough and I couldn't ask for a better baby. Her little face makes my day.
Ryan has some awesome news- he got a promotion at work, he is now the shop foreman- hooray! He has been working toward this position for a while now so its so exciting for him to get it. He works so hard so I'm glad they saw that. Its hunting season and Makenzie and I have been feeling the effects :(
We have been on our own for almost a month now. Between the weekend getaways to practices to his week long trip that he is still on we have been hanging out together missing Dad.
Last week we took him down to the cabin but only stayed 2 days. Makenzie, Harley and I made the trip back home on Saturday. I was a little nervous traveling across the state alone with a dog and a baby but we all did great. Makenzie is a traveler right now and doesn't mind her car seat to much so it went very smooth.
I am still off work on Maternity leave but ill be going back in 4 short weeks. I cant believe how fast time is flying and I'm panicking thinking about going back to work and not being with my baby all day. I know it will all work out but its going to be tough at first.

I have a few questions for all the mothers out there. Please leave a comment because I could use all your advice. I said in a previous post I am doing the babywise schedule with Makenzie. So far its going good but I have been having a problem the last couple weeks. Makenzie is getting hungry like every hour. I try to distract her but nothing helps other than eating. I will feed her and she will scarf it all down. I went to see my doctor and he said to try and give her some formula to see if that will keep her fuller longer. I have and its helped a little but it she will still get hungry every hour sometimes. I want to ask everyone if you have had this problem and what did you do. Makenzie is sleeping from about 10 pm - 4 or 5 am. so I don't know if because she is sleeping so long she is super hungry throughout the day and I should start feeding her every hour in a half to two hours? Right now I'm trying to go every 3 hours.
The other question- Did your little one ever have days where they had to be held all day? There is nothing wrong (like they are not sick) they just want to be held all day. Even at naps, as soon as you put them down they scream and wont stop until you pick them up. Just want to see if others have been through this to?

Kendra, my advice for her eating so much, just let her eat. I know it stinks that you are having to do it more during the day, but wouldn't you want to feed her more during the day and have her sleep at night. Plus she might be going through a growth spurt right now. Because with me, Kylee will sometimes eat every two hours for the first 3 to 4 feedings and then she will go back to her 3 hour schedule. Plus I have noticed that Kylee will eat back to back right before bed. (meaning: she will eat at say 7 and then again at 8 or 8:30pm and then that's it until morning.)
Hang in there though, she is sleeping a long time during the night and just needs to catch up during the day.

I'm not a Mom just yet, but I think you are doing a wonderful job. Kenzie has a Mom and Dad that LOVE her so so much. Lucky!

Awesome for Ryan and the promotion--good for him.

Maybe Randy and I could come and visit you two sometime next weekish.

probably a growth spurt, let her eat. There will be times where she will seem like she is eating nothing. :) All of my kids have done that, they still go through those spurt of eating a ton and then not hardly anything.
